Some Awesome Results
I didn't get to watch the Strikeforce event, but by all reports it was a doozy. I wore out the refresh button on the internet browser keeping up with the fights. When I do get to watch them, it should still be entertaining. I'm incredibly proud to say that Herschel Walker delivered. Although I didn't get to train with him or anything, I do feel that my unconditional love and support (BEEP) through all the years had a small part to play in his victory. He doesn't know me from Adam's housecat, but still. Results here.
I also got some great tournament results to report. Anthony Lewis and Shawn Bunting braved the cold and mileage to head up to Rome and compete in the Gladiator Grappling tournament and both of them came away with some medals. I don't remember the exact count, but I know that both of them fought in some tough brackets to win a silver (Lewis) and a gold (Bunting). Shake their hands and check the CMMA forum for the full results.
Also, a huge congrats goes out to Matt "The Spainard" Henderson for his accomplishments at the European Championship this past weekend. When all was said and done, The Spainard walked away with a Gold medal!
I, with only a little credit to Professor Paul, will humbly and graciously take a large amount of credit in preparing all three of these competitors for their awesome performances. Or something like that anyway.
