I'm getting behind so I do want to congratulate a few folks on promotions that are a little late on being announced.

First, Terrance Teague has been training with us for a while now.  Due to circumstances out of everyone's control he had to take a little time off but is now training with renewed vigor! Professor Paul has seen this dedication and awarded him his blue belt in both BJJ and MMA!

In other BJJ news, Jason Lapene got his blue belt in BJJ too!  Jason has been on the mats a ton this year and continues to improve his skills.  Keep up the good work!

On the MMA front, Charles "The Bonds" Mann got his blue belt!  If the academy doors are opening, Charlie is usually there doing something.  He even got his wife interested in taking a BJJ class so hopefully we'll be adding some more women to our growing roster of female participants.

Great job to all of our recent promotions, I am continually amazed by the amount of skill and talent we have on the mats now.

If you see Burt Lograno around, give him a big hug and congrats.  A few weeks ago he became the proud papa of a little baby girl!  Mother and child are doing well and Burt can't stop smiling.

Finally, straight from the desk of the professor: The requirement books are in and we will begin the testing within the classes for students that are at a 4 stripe level in any BJJ belt and with 1 stripe in the MMA program. If you want to know exactly what is required for you to start climbing the ranks inquire at the academy about getting one of these books. They are made of high quality ripstop paper with some blank pages for notes.  This will allow you to carry around a study guide for you to continually think about jiu-jitsu!
