Updates
As we've talked about it at the academy, I don't think there aren't too many folks that weren't happy with Randy dismantling James Toney. Virtually everyone knew how that was gonna go, but it was still great to see it happen. I didn't see the first Edgar vs. Penn, but this one didn't disappoint. Since Edgar is part of the family (Ricardo Almedia purple belt) I was cheering for him but I had no idea it would turn out like that. Wow. Full Results here.
I talked to Professor Paul last night, and it looks like everything was looking good for today. It was going to be a less invasive procedure than initially anticipated and all was a go. Here's to a speedy recovery!
A huge congrats goes out to Kevin Lee on his promotion to blue belt last week. That kid has been training with us for a while and is a great training partner. He has a great attitude and his jiu-jitsu skills are rapidly improving. He makes the whole country of Canada proud!
Keep in mind that next Monday is Labor Day. The academy will be closed. We'll start up Tuesday back to normal.
