Paul Creighton - Head Instructor

Paul Creighton has studied Martial Arts since the age of five. A Sport Ju-jitsu Middleweight World Champion in 2000, Creighton was the United States Sport Jujitsu team captain in 1998 and 2000, and a member of the three-time World Champion USA Sport Jujitsu team. As a competitive wrestler in high school and college, Creighton compiled a 134-16-1 (win-loss-tie) record and was a Junior Olympic Gold Medalist. Paul has competed extensively in many competitions including the Ultimate Fighting Championships where he fought BJ Penn.
Josh Bowie - Instructor
Josh originally started training jiu-jitsu with Paul in 1998 and was actually Paul’s first student. When Paul went back to NYC to continue his training under Renzo Gracie, Josh went on to obtain his Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University.
Bray Deavours - Instructor
As a competitive wrestler in high school Bray has always had a passion for the grappling arts. After completing his Bachelors Degree at James Madison and his Masters in Business at UGA, Bray was looking to continue his passion of competing and training in the grappling arts.
Justin "The Golden Boy" Parsons - Instructor
Justin has an extensive background in grappling as he wrestled for 12 years before discovering the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has trained exclusively under Paul and has received the rank of brown belt. Justin pays very close attention to detail and it shows in his technical ability on the mat. As an instructor at Creighton MMA Justin loves to pass on his technical knowledge to the students at the academy.
Isaac "Pooh Bear" Eberle - Instructor
Since Isaac began training at Creighton Mixed Martial Arts Academy he has become a well rounded fighter by focusing his efforts on blending both his stand-up striking and grappling techniques together. As a competitor Isaac is very technical, calm and patient which has made him successful in both grappling and MMA events. He brings this technical and patient demeanor with him as he teaches our kid’s program, MMA striking and Fitness Kickboxing classes at Creighton MMA Academy.
Isaac was undeafeated as an amateur MMA competitor and has recently began fighting professionally in MMA competitions.
Tom Loughmiller - Instructor
Tom began training at Creighton MMA Academy with a background in Aikido. Since he started training Tom has made it a point to focus on his stand-up striking as well as his ground game to establish himself as a complete fighter. Tom has competed in both grappling and MMA with much success. His ability to flow and blend from one fighting range to another without jeopardizing technique is what makes Tom a great competitor and also instructor.
Dan Shapiro - Instructor
Dan is a life long student of the martial arts. Dan began his martial arts training in 1968 with Ishin Ryu Karate and has obtained a 4th degree black belt in this discipline. Through his years of training he has also reached the level of 1st degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and has trained in many other arts which include Judo and Kung Fu to name a few. Dan has now set out a new quest and desire to add another black belt to his accomplishments in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He is well on his way after receiving the rank of purple belt under Paul. As a kids instructor Dan brings with him many years of experience in the martial arts.
Johnny Hunt - Instructor
Johnny, like many other instructors we have at Creighton MMA Academy, came to us with an extensive background in grappling as he wrestled for 5 years prior to joining us. He began with a solid base and has now evolved into a very technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. With many years of experience as a coach for youth wrestling in Walton County Johnny has been a perfect fit as an instructor for our kids program.
